I watched Lady Gaga's video this morning to her new single Edge of Glory and in it she's wearing vintage Versace. I loved Versace when I was a kid and found him so inspiring. So much so I travelled to London on my own one afternoon to visit his newly opened Bond St store. I remember how nice the staff were and they gave me this book which was of his Autumn/Winter 1992 collection, the same Gaga is wearing in the video. Amazing times, amazing clothes.

My latest obsession is photographer Miles Aldridge who's work I love. He is married to uber model Kristen McMenamy and mainly works in fashion. I am channeling him for my September London Design Festival collection. His work reminds me of late 70's fashion photographer Guy Bourdin whom I also love. Here are some iconic images....

I was in Brighton this weekend as I have a little flat there which I escape to on the odd weekend. I love Brighton and it has always been a great source of inspiration, especially when I was designing my Rough Diamond collection. You are guaranteed to see the most unexpected things and this weekend was no exception. For some bizarre reason I kept seeing things related to Her Majesty? I love the Queen so I thought I would share these with you. I have also included my own homage to Liz which I incorporated into the design of the bar Lost Angel last year. We had to get permission from Buckingham Palace and the V&A to use this image, we didn't however mention to them we going to decorate her crown and scepter with fairground light bulbs....
