Theme Magazine’s panel of judges have selected Lee Broom as one of only three designers for the ‘One to Watch’ category for his bar design work, and also picked Lee’s design for 10 Feet Tall in Cardiff as one of five bars to make the shortlist for ‘Contemporary Bar Design of the Year’ in the magazine’s annual bar and restaurant awards. The winners will be announced on 29th September.

It has just been announced that Lee Broom's latest bar design The lost Angel has been nominated for the for ‘Best New Bar’ by Time Out London’s Eating & Drinking Awards 2009. In 2006 Lost Society won this prestigious award, so we are hoping for the same outcome for The Lost Angel this year. Lee Broom as been selected as one of the 25 people to watch for the future in the bar industry by Night magazine. This special 25 year anniversary edition looks at the changing face of the drinks industry and its people who have shaped it over the years. The 25 list includes other designers, bar operators and promotors.

This month Lee Broom has been voted by the public as the 13th most influential person in the bar industry in Theme Magazines top 100. The list honors the bar industry's leading figures over the past 12 months. Other names include Sir Terence Conran, Nick House of Mahiki and Eric Yu of Punk.
