I'm delighted to let you know I have been nominated for 3 awards in the Best British Design Awards 2011 organised by Elle Decoration. We are up for 'Designer of the Year', 'Best Interior Design' for the personal Shopping Suite at Topman and 'Best Product Design' for my Parq Life Sideboard designed for Deadgood.

Last week I had the pleasure of being interviewed by Michelle Ogundehin, Editor-in-Cheif of ELLE Decoration for London Design Week at the Design Centre Chelsea Harbour. Over 100 people bought tickets to hear us chat about design in Britain and my work in general.....so no pressure! It was a lot of fun and Michelle is an absolute pleasure to chat with and made me feel very much at ease.

So I have been slightly hopeless at posting stuff over the past couple of months as life has been a little hectic. These images are from the bash I threw at my Shoreditch studio to celebrate winning my two Elle Decoration awards and also my birthday, they should have really been posted last November so apologies for the delay (slap wrists, will try harder next time). Found out today that I won 2 awards in the ELLE Decoration British Design Awards 2010! I won 'Best British Design' for my Carpetry Sideboard as voted for by the public and also 'Best New Interior' for Coquine bar, as selected by the magazine. Thank you to everyone who voted for me and thank you to ELLE Decoration for all your support.....I'm very happy!

I have recently discovered that I have been shortlisted to win a commission to design pendant lighting for the new Westfield in Stratford as part of a scheme called Studio East. British designer Tom Dixon and Elle Decoration editor Michelle Ogundehin are shortlisting the talent and the winner will be announced June 14th. The event will be held at a new pop up restaurant run by Bistroteque on the roof of the Westfield site in Stratford. Other panelists include Mary Portas, Tracey Emin, Tony chambers, Erin O'Connor and Roland Mouret.....exciting stuff
